Content warnings debate.
It’s a common debate in publishing at the moment as to the validity and even purpose of content warnings.
Some people consider them to be spoilers. Others consider them a kindness to readers. Every author has to make their own decision.
Mine is based on the premise that I would rather trust someone to skip past a well sign-posted page if they think it will spoil their enjoyment, than spoil not just the reading but potentially many hours of the reader’s life by not giving them a chance to prepare themselves for what may be uncomfortable reading.
Please find detailed content warnings for my books in this post. If you wish to add anything, please email me with your suggestions.
